Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American producer, actress and director. She is most famous for her part as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for her portrayal as Johnson in 2007. Following the conclusion of the seventh season the series was cancelled on the 13th of August, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was awarded an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989), Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was a New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald) was teacher and family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her dad was Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick has declared that she's Jewish and is a part of Passover meals.
